Into Action Treatment: “WE DO RECOVER”

This is the second in a series of email interviews with addiction recovery professionals/centers. Today’s interview highlights Into Action Treatment, a rehab center in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Please let the readers know about Into Action Treatment. What do you do and how are you different from other treatment centers?

Hello and thank you for allowing me to share about IntoAction first of all its my dream come true and what we do is help guys recover from the seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. The difference that we make is truly individualized care which we show in progress based treatment –clients do not stay based on insurance they stay on their progress and willingness to do the work average 70-90 days residential with minimum six months structured halfway with outpatient services and lifetime aftercare. We plant a tree as a sign of new life. We utilize original recipe for recovery how first one hundred alcoholics had recovered back in 1939. Everyone of our guys work closely with recovered alcoholic/addict as a guide. Our case load is 6-7 clients per therapist which is very healthy. We do intense work with families and utilize holistic modalities .

What services to you offer?

We offer 24/7 assessment and detox placement , we do step down partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient and outpatient services –we are here to help and even if we cant admit we will do all in our power to refer to the right place we believe in no one to be ever left behind.

You offer a variety of therapy modalities? Why not just one?

We beelive in the combination approach –client must change their thinking and outlook on life their mindset must be going thru the complete overhaul it takes work and agility and perseverance, reiki and yoga , gym and acupuncture, psychodrama and sober outings help , but most work comes from digging in with primary therapist and becoming honest with ones sponsor ( recovered alcoholic/addict guide).

How do you decide which modalities to use to help a person recover?

The schedule is very busy from 7 am to 8-9pm all the groups are mandatory but everyone has their own treatment plan with goals and objectives and sponsor to do the rigorous work.

What is holistic treatment?

Holistic basically means encompassing ones mind, ones body and ones soul – it is imperative to address all of it without fighting and be open to the process that is half the battle. Just be open.

Do you have any advice for those people who feel beyond hope?

If you are hopeless its ok because majority of us were at some point of our lives as a matter of the fact let me tell you the truth is every alcoholic and addict has no break pedal and has no clue that theres a possibility to stop for good and if he she says they do they are lying and are believing in their own lies which they are so good at.

What role does the family play in recovery? What about those without a family, or without supportive family or friends?

It is very important for the family to involved thru all the stages –we trust it is the family disfunction not just one with the problem , for a lot of our guys we become their second family and home and are very proud of that.

What specific tools or skills do people need to recover from addiction and live productive lives?

In order to recover one must understand they have a problem ( even if they don’t see it), second they must get that they need to stop playing God they are not one that means becoming humble and open to realize theres time to stop running the show and thirdly be open to follow directions maybe for the first time in their lives to do something for themselves . As simple as it might seem those are super drastic undertaking for any alcoholic and addict the rest we provide clear cut directions and instructions and goal is to get for one not to have the obsession and desire to pick up not to depend on people , places and things , but ultimate goal is for one to be free and happy!!!

How can a person know if Into Action Treatment is a right for him or her?

We are small only 7 female and 15 male beds and we don’t take everybody you have to go thru an assessment process and be open not to dictate your treatment and stay as long as clinical will decide for you to stay.

What’s the best way for someone to reach you?

We have a 24/7 hotline 855-933-6732855-933-6732 and one of us will surely pick up the phone.

What recommendations do you have for people suffering from addiction who aren’t near Boynton Beach, Fl? Are there things they can do, wherever they are, to begin to heal and live a sober life?

More than %80 of clients are from out of state we service everybody and even had a client from Russia that went thru the treatment learned the language and went back home and is over a year sober.

Any other message you’d like to share?

All I can say is – theres definitely a way out , there is a solution and yes you can definitely recover .I don’t believe in cure I wont be able t ever non -challanlty smoke crack , but one can definitely be content with oneself without having a fix or craving one. It’s a process and it does not happen overnight , but being open and willing and following directions can go very far, that’s why at IntoAction we do say WE DO RECOVER.

Thank you very much for this opportunity.
